I think Snape\'s response to Hermione\'s recitation is entirely within character... he\'s angry, hurt, and does what he knows best... he strikes back while holding tight to his illusions. In this case, that it wasn\'t he who\'d ended the relationship without the possibility of a future. If he ever considers her perspective, he will realize that she was only a teenager who\'d had an illicit affair with a man who didn\'t love her. What else was she really to do? I\'m a bit surprised that her parents, being older and a bit wiser, didn\'t counsel that Snape had the right to know he\'d fathered a child. I\'ll be interested to see what happens when he speaks with Hadrian, and just how vindictive you want to take him. The courts in my state are filled with parents who use their children as pawns to hurt the other parent.

What a treasure! I love the struggle Snape is having with all this! I really hope he and Hermoine get together for some post-affair shagging(hint, hint). Keep up the great writing, mi chica! Killer K :)

Ch 4/3 - I hope Hadrian doesn\'t hold it against Severus that he never saw him before - \'cuz he didn\'t know about him. Poor Severus, it really isn\'t fair that Harry and Ron and everyone else knew about Hadrian before he did. So he\'s going to see Hadrian the next day in class - and all Hadrian\'s housemates are probably already asking him if he\'s related to Professor Snape because of his name. Hermione really was cutting things close, to not tell Severus sooner! Please update soon.
