Wait. I thought that Snape made it clear to her that he never wanted to see or hear from her again...where did that go? Very good story so far. I hope that she calls him on his shortcomings also and does not just let him get away with his superior attitude. Plus, she was a kid and evidently thought like one. p

This is really going to tick me off if Snape keeps getting away with his attitude. First, when is she supposed to see her son at all then? SS has him all of the school year and then wants him summers. And he is going to start feeding him "pureblood" crap after what he had to say about it? What a jerk! I expected better from her, even if she is feeling guilty about keeping them apart. And still no mention of his part in him not being a part of his son's life. Hopefully, Harry or the Weasleys will help her come to her senses. p

Yay!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Even though HG is not the one who called it on him, he called it on himself. Too bad that he, like most, judge anothers motives based on their own. She probably wanted her son to meet his father only for her son as he wanted to know him and she knew how important it was to him. I can easily see her being that selfless. The feelings of being rejected brought to the forefront for her child's sake. Mom's love goes above and beyond. p

Okay SS, it is easy to say that you are both at fault, but the long and short of it is that she was still a child and very inexperienced AND he had set the rules throughout their fling so should have said it first. I am really happy that you are having their son stick up for his mom even as much as he wants to be accepted by his dad. p

Just like too many men I know, SS has no problem letting HG take all of the responsibility for what happened. It is too awful that SS missed 11 years of his son's life and it is not something that he can get a "do over" and play it differently next time. The fact remains that he has to bear part of the blame for his lost years. p

I have to admit that I'm wondering how she could have a baby and work at the Ministry and it not be all over the Daily Prophet--but that's minor compared to the fact that I am really loving this so far, and Severus's reaction at the end of the chapter was wonderful. Great job!

Thank you! What a wonderful story. Great ending. Heart-warming but not sappy. Excellent!
