I just thought I\'d tell you that I too have had trouble with the present tense thing -- but I\'m getting used to it, and am starting to appreciate it. I\'m glad that you decided to explain your reasons for its use -- and, it must be harder to write -- because I keep trying not to change the tense in my head as I read -- so I\'m right in there, doing some of the work (ha) with you. You go!

I\'m also always glad to read new Lucius/Hermione fics, especially when written well. It\'s one of my favorite pairings, and I\'ve noticed that it\'s VERY difficult to keep that fine line between a believable, canonish Lucius, and the warm-fuzzy Lucius who simply has made a complete change in personality. Beautiful he may be, but he\'s also been an evil bastard for most of his life. I can, however, buy a Lucius who changed sides for pragmatic or vengeful reasons. You\'ve done an excellent job with that, and I can\'t wait to read more!

As an aside, I always enjoy seeing wolfish Remus. Woo.

Wow, great chapter! Your story is progressing very well. Although, I am starting to hate Doris. Reminds me of a flightly and airheaded woman. Though I said that, that meant that you\'ve done a marvelous job of making your characters matter to the reader. Great job with writing! I hope to read your next chapters soon!
