i first read it a few years back, and i find myself going back to it every few months...

I like Veela stories, but I strongly dislike Veela stories that start out as a practical rape scene. It's just not sexy for most of their first time to be Harry begging Draco not to touch him. Also, Harry seems horrifically out of character. I mean, if he could get himself out of all the situations he did growing up at Hogwarts, surely he could've avoided getting Mated if he didn't want to. The entire situation just feels wrong when you read it.

Don't get me wrong, there are Veela stories that I love that make it work somehow, but this one just kind of got progressively less believable as it went on. Harry Potter would never allow anyone to put him in a situation that he disliked. And the fact that he and Draco go from enemies to mated right away without any transition is part of the reason the story as a whole just doesn't sit well.

It was like chapter 1 Harry is barely made aware of what's going on and them bam! Chapter 2 he's mated to Draco Malfoy very much against his will and he even says "he could live with it" which just makes the situation even less desirable to read.

I really don't want this to be a flame because you're very good with imagery and grammar, and your ideas are innovative and original. They just didn't sit well with me, and I felt I needed to point out the huge issue with characterization in this story.

OMG! Sakya! I LOVE THIS STORY!!!! YOU MUST MUST MUST FINISH IT!!! If you ever need a beta PLEASE let me know! I'D love to help you out! (no offense, but there were a few mistakes in grammer that were probably the result of a faulty spell checker, Didn't stop me from loving the story though!) I love the elaborate society you've created for the veela! and giving Harry a brand new set of family was absolutely the sweetest thing that could ever be done for a character so great! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE finish this fic! I'M dying of fanfic blue-balls!

Why have you not updated this story for the past three years?? I found it some time ago. I read it and loved it!!! I decided to go searching for it today and was disappointed to see that nothing had been added in all that time. Its a wonderful story and I would love to know what happens next and how it ends.
