Oh dear. Really evil cliffie there at the end of ch.9. I am really enjoying this story. So many people write Snape\'s character as so consistently dark, evil and snarky that I have to wonder if Hermione is truly that dysfunctional to have affection for him. Of course, that does work nicely if one is writing a BDSM story, but not so much if they\'re writing a more vanilla romance! (I did enjoy a story a writer posted, I\'m not sure where at the moment, where Snape started out as The Ultimate Snarky Bastard -- and then went through therapy. Because that\'s what it would take if he were that messed up before he could really love someone!) Thanks for showing his warmer side, he is, after all a human being and thus runs the whole gamut of emotions, no matter how hard he would try to keep it hidden! Keep up the great work.
