It appears that the fic is still just getting started. It has an interesting base, but you are also following Harry Potter canon too closely. For example, Harry would not likely be around to see the Weasely\'s arrive; in the original book, he was only there to see them arrive because he hadn\'t any idea where platform 9 and 3/4 was. Harry wouldn\'t need a helping hand on luggage; he\'d be more than capable of lifting it magically. Finally, Harry wouldn\'t likely say the exact same thing he said to Malfoy in canon.
When you force these things to happen the same way, it seems both unoriginal and like you are forcibly coercing your story to match that of canon. Why even bother? The major events will be similar at least in their instigation (Philosopher\'s Stone, Chamber, Goblet of Fire), but others can happen very differently (Voldemort\'s ressurection, Pettigrew\'s escape, etc.) You should encourage divergence.

Yeah! Dudders finally did somethin decent for Harry! Too bad he wouldn\'t have done it if he\'d known. I think it is an interesting concept- as well as Harry turned out despite his horrid childhood- what if he had been loved and started his magical training early?

Oops- got too carried away reading and missed reviewing - this is for everything up to Chapter 5. I have to say, though I knew it wouldn\'t happen, the mental image of Duds trying to run the labyrith made me laugh. I love this story! I think this Harry will be very well prepared for Hogwarts.
