Damn. I wrote this whole thing once and then erased it by accident. I\'ll try to do the best I can to remember it all, though, so here goes (God, I hate this computer):
Well, my dear, you\'re not the only one who feels like crap; I\'ve just been hit by some bug or another. AND THEN, I had tons and tons and tons and tons of homework. What a miserable Spring Break so far. (Well, fine, only today was boring. Yesterday was fun. My family visited a ghost town, perhaps one of the most chilling experiences I have ever had. Destroyed buildings, broken pottery, rusted nails, and rotting windows....when you try to imagine the lives of people in those overgrown houses, it\'s spooky. I don\'t know what forced them to flee from it, only taht the chaos is almost complete.) Anywho, HAPPY EASTER!! BELATED!! I hope the Easter bunny brought lots of candy and roses. I would be your honorary Easter bunny if I could, but unfortunately I\'m in New Mexico and have no idea where you live, let alone where the post office is. But you deserve \'em anyways for being such a fabulous author and having such a long post. I\'ll try to do my best to make my review just as long, but I have limited computer time here...sigh.
Okay. Onto observations: I thought the moment when Laurel cradles hurt Draco in her arms to be simply beautiful. When I first read it, I couldn\'t quite understand why she was so torn up about the possibility of Draco\'s death - she had just met him that night - but the anguish was real. And then, when she had the conversation with her mother (about the vision and her feelings for the boy), it all came rushing back. I reread that moment, and thought it was written just perfectly.
I also thought the line about Harry always getting blamed first, even when he hadn\'t done anything, to be hilariously ironic. I sat and stared at that and laughed just because it was so true. I always thought similarly; for awhile, I found JKR\'s tendency to put him in the wrong place at the wrong time to get tedius, especially since our beloved Harry is so thick-headed and emotional. He needs to learn how to control the PMS. Another section I thought very interesting was the brief conversation between Ron (Red, I love it!) and Harry. Harry vows to take revenge on Draco\'s murderer (that is, murderer if Draco died), exposing the power of the bond between them, though they were enemies for so long. They still are, of a sort, with Laurel in the picture, but the respect is just breath-taking. I don\'t know whether Harry sort of feels as if the injury is his fault, since he wasn\'t paying attention and the curse was meant for him or whether it really was out of respect, but all the same, I found the oath to be wonderful. And Ron\'s reaction brought the point home:

Oh my goodness, Chapter 25 was so packed with action and tense moments and near misses and dramatic rescues and DANGER, so very good in all! I can\'t believe how many intense scenes there were! The entire duel in the club was very good, especially with the discovery of Laurel\'s witch identity and the fierce desperation in all the conversations. I loved when Draco went completely NOBLE and told Laurel to use his body as a shield...\"When I go down\" he knew it was not a matter of \"if\" but of \"when\" and faced it with dignity. One of those moments that makes you a man (and how cliche did that just sound?) and for a second, my heart stopped and I ACTUALLY thought that you might actually LET HIM DIE, Lorett! Then the rational part of my brain kicked in and said, \"This is Lorett writing this story and she is too infatuated with dear Draco to kill him off in one of her stories, for pete\'s sake!\" But I have to admit, I was worried...
Go Girl Power! Laurel kicks butt on so many levels! I loved her little speech to Harry about getting out of there may be the only way to save innocent lives. And what a spell! I noticed that when she and Harry took on the Death Eater together, their spells merged, and then with the Domus spell, Harry\'s, Laurel\'s and Draco\'s spells merged (but ont Ron\'s) which leads me to believe they have some kind of magical connection to each other. So her attraction to Harry as well as to Draco is starting to make more sense (other than the fact that the girl is not blind and recognizes a fine example of manliness when she sees one). I am also intrigued because if my theory is correct, this means Draco and Harry are connected in some way, too. Curiouser and curiouser...
Oh how I LOVED Maggie! She was in protective mama role and Harry KNEW better than to mess around! He would never have dreamed of dropping his wand if a Death Eater commanded him to, but he instinctively knew that Maggie was far more dangerous at that moment. We know where Laurel gets her Girl Power from, that\'s for sure. And Maggie\'s nicknames! \"Red and Blondie\" (echoing Laurel\'s for Draco, hee hee) Oh, I am laughing so hard! The whole scene at Laurel\'s home was tense and dramatic and a very good read.
I like how you hint at Harry\'s large ego, too. He also recognizes (sometimes) that he is being conceited, but has a few \"all about Harry\" moments. I liked his little pout about \"How is it that I\"m always the bad guy, when all I did was show up just like everybody else?\" Hmmm...a cutie with a big ego...sound like any other hotties we know? Harry and Draco are so very much alike in many ways! I think Draco is more self aware of his grand ego, though. Pardon me while I think about Draco and Harry and their big...egos...
My favorite standout scene: when Harry says \"If he dies, whoever did this is going down. I\'ll see to it personally.\" and looks so brutal and fierce that Ron blanches and says, \"Blimey, I hope he makes it.\" Absolutely fantastic!
Laurel, you lucky lucky girl! You get to gaze into all the gorgeous boys\' eyes! And the famous bathroom scene anticipation starts. After reading other\'s comments on that, I am all a-twitter with, dare I confess, IMPATIENCE for that scene! I can\'t wait! IFOLFA be hanged! (You didn\'t hear that from me, OK?) What a great chapter! Lots of hugs and smooches and some chicken noodle soup to you, Miss Lorett! I hope you feel better soon!

Hiya Loretta!
Awwww bless you for being so dedicated to us by posting when you\'re sick!!! Thanks for doing that for us! You\'re a star!!! I hope you get better soon hunny and that you stop feeling like crap! I hate being ill so I totally sympathise with you!
This chapter was great!! I love action not as much as romance though! You had a bit of both right in there!!! I loved it! I know I keep saying it but I got really involved for a moment and totally ignored whoever I was speaking to on MSN!!! I hope they\'re still my friend!! Hee hee! I\'m sure they will be. I\'ve just realised that I use exclaimation marks a lot. I\'m sorry I didn\'t realise I was such an enthusiastic person!!!
Anyway the e-mail alert I got from you cheered me up because I\'ve had a crappy week. And I\'ve been feeling down all day. I love reading your story because I get so lost in it that I forget all the rubbish that\'s going on around me and totally immerse myself in whatever\'s going on in The Three Keys! Can\'t wait for you\'re next chapter!!!
Love and hugs
Annie.

Hello again,
I just finished reading IHTBY and decided to re-read this chappie too. This was by far one of my favorite chapters when I first read it. There\'s everything! I like the change to the spell too, sounds alot better now.
Slight little thing I noticed, don\'t know if it was intentional or not but here\'s what I got.....
Laurel\'s wand = red,organge, yellow colours
Harry\'s wand = green colour
Draco\'s wand = possibly blue colours ? I didn\'t see anywhere where it says the colour coming out of it but combined that would be a colour spectrum, also known as crystal clear white light, also known as PURE light, or the \"light side\". Don\'t know if I\'m really going anywhere with it but ya know. Plus, together the colour of Harry and Laurel\'s light was gold combined so will she be possibly sorted into Gryffindor house???? Just my over-reactive mind seeing things again, lol. Maybe you can use some of that in the story if it hadn\'t been intented in the first place. Just another possible clue to my theory that they are the three keys.
Anyhow, how was THAT for an analysis????? Now, on to my other favorite scene in this story.... the bathroom, oh some hot Harry goodness. I mean, why just have Draco when you can have Harry too? I\'m thinking a threesome in the end..... Oh I can dream! Also can\'t wait for the library scene.... both between laurel/DM and HP/DM..... oh the goodness of it all!
So, hope to see more up soon! hugs,
~Jenn
