I've read some doozies in my time but this bad boy takes the cake. Your writing is good. The plot line is COMPELLING. The selfishness is visceral and clinching.
It is a doozy because there is no way I have any sympathy or compassion for the protagonist or the antagonist. I want them thrown under the bus and be at the mercy of someone with good faith and good will.

By any chance would this "famous Muggle" that authored the book Ginny was reading be Dr. Phil? It sounds like something he would do if he wasn't too busy brown nosing Oprah...
