Wow, this fic is really good so far.
It\'s interesting and as far as I can tell, has a unique plot and you write so well, I got lost in this chapter.
Okay... I sound kind of sucky-uppy if that makes sense.
But I think this fic will be really good!

Ch 1 - great start! I really like Mr Ollivander\'s story of how he met Tom Riddle and gave him his wand. Will be interesting to see how you handle Tom\'s development into Voldemort. I have no idea how you\'re going to work Hermione into this story; I hope you don\'t have her become a Death Eater!

I think that you\'ve made a fairly good start here... the inherent difficulty with pairings of this nature is the vast age difference and the great chasm of death and destruction that lie between what Tom Riddle became (for whatever reason) and what Hermione Granger is. I realize that you\'ve hit on a clever choice because the parallels between TR and HP, especially their beginnings, are so very clear, and Hermione is HP\'s close friend, which gives you a starting point. You\'ve also very nicely used a third party narrator for this beginning to show the sad state of the boy who would become Lord Voldemort. It tugs on the heartstrings, and I will be very interested to see how you handle some of the standard issues. You have set yourself quite a task.... I will be watching for where you decide to take it.
