Given that Severus asked his young find to help him make potions.... Perhaps some holiday break Hermione could be home with her folks and go shopping and pop into some health food shop (nicking this idea from another fic) which is where a potion would likely be sold, all natural ingredients and such, and recognize that penmanship on the label that she saw on scrolls for years. That would be adequate proof.

I thought at first Hermione should find the Malfoy ring, but if it were just a matter of looking in shops until it was found, Malfoy could be doing that as well. Of course, he\'s looking for the ring, not Snape, not necessarily. So I think Hermione should come across one of his potions that he and Lisa are brewing together. Since they are starting small, wouldn\'t he have to label his vials by hand, and his handwriting would surely be distinctive? I can\'t recall without rereading, but is Snape planning on selling potions to Muggles or wizards? If he\'s selling to Muggles, then Hermione\'s nutty Aunt (fill in the blank) who\'s into homeopathics and herbs could have purchased it. That would certainly prevent other wizards from seeing Snape\'s distinctive handwriting.

So are you fishing for ideas, or did you want to see if someone could guess your intentions?

Would she recognize his signature in potions he had brewed after being in so many classes with him? Surely Pomfrey\'s regular stocks were kept up by Severus as well . . . maybe Hermione would find -new- Potions made and labeled in a rather recognizable hand?

I am so happy that you have added a chapter. In fact, I was thrilled when you continued it with chapter 2, and here we are, chapter 3. I am astonished at the twist-- the concept of a Floramagus is fascinating! Obviously it\'s innate, as Metamorphmagi, unlike Animagi (learned). And of course she and Severus are going to become self-supporting and use magic.... Can\'t wait for ch4 !
