Well - you sure know how to keep me on tentahooks! Enjoyed Marf, Sev and Kingsley\'s elaborate way of not adding too much Veriteserum. But did Draco really manage to escape the full dosage - guess I\'ll have to wait and see.

Hmmmm, I can think of some lovely choice words for Moody right now...none of them are very nice. What did MacNair get hauled away for? Too bad not just Ginny is coming over to see Hermione. Hermione did say she wanted to confide in her...oh well...maybe not time yet. Ron needs to come clean about being an arse and just leave Hermione in peace. Okay, that\'s enough. Glad that you updated. Love this story. Yay for Betas! They truly are the best! ~Ginny

Personally, I think you should beat Moody over the head with a shillelagh stick instead ;o) Another great chapter, would have been perfect with a bit of smut... But waiting increases the tension. I hope it\'s not too long before the next chapter and I also hope you are feeling better.

Sigh. What a wonderful story. It\'s intense and suspenseful, which makes me love to hate it because i always am left wanting....Can\'t wait until I can read it alll!!!!

I agree totally with your beta - I can\'t wait to be able to read the whole thing, all at once. Heck, I can\'t wait to read what happens next - Dolohov\'s snapping really set the cat among the pigeons. I wonder if he deliberately spared Hermione, or if her seeming smug and put-together to his desperate mind was the final straw.

Betz,
Glad to read another chapter - although I must admit I am on tenterhooks to get to Hermione\'s next date with SS and taste the cassoulet!
Hermione is pretty much implicated, with the death of her co-worker (who could be seen as an impediment to her promotion) and her being in the vacinity at the time of Delahov\'s attack. I wonder if someone deliberately framed her?
Your character analyses are very believable and I\'m impressed with all the additional bits of knowledge about alchemy code words, herbs etc.
Much as I want to urge you to get the next chapter up quick, I do not want to press you to compromise on the quality, which so far has been excellent.

Hey there, sorry I haven\'t reviewed the last couple of chapters. I\'ve been a bit on the fly. I really am enjoying every update you come out with. I am curious as to how Hermione will react - if the guilt will propel her to stay away from Snape for the time being. She might have thought nothing much of her suspicion and considering how close to the attack her leaving was, it probably wouldn\'t have mattered. But I really love how you\'ve compounded that guilt by making Dolohov snap at the exact moment when Hermione gave in to Severus slightly by doing such naughty things to him with her tongue ;) She broke her self imposed rule, tore off her pretty bow of denial and when she went home she found a way to punish herself. It\'s really interesting how people can take unrelated moments but feel that one is the penance for the other. I really like how human these characters are - hopelessly flawed really - but wonderfully lifelike. Normally the wizarding world is a world above our own where the problems are quite outside normal circumstance - but in this story the problems come from quite human places. I really appreciate this whole story, it\'s one of the most intelligent post-hogwarts stories I have read. Right up there with Whippy\'s \"Blood of Mud, Wing of Bat\".
I love how the problems are escalating and I really can\'t see it ending well, it\'s like a train heading for derailment but I can\'t look away. lol Please update soon, I am revelling. :)

Ch 20 - Cucurbite ... wow, I learn all kinds of stuff from your stories! And yes, I\'d like to save this entire story when done, assuming the angst will one day end. Sheesh, isn\'t there a way to kill off Ron and Harry? Too bad Dolohov missed Harry! I\'m not looking forward to Moody being there to interrogate Severus and Draco, or Pansy. I suppose it\'s too much to hope that anyone at MoM realizes Dolohov\'s nervous breakdown could happen to any Death Eater living in such oppression. Yup, this is one angsty story!

Another fabulous chapter! Hermione sucking on Snape\'s finger was so erotic, especially mixed in with the thought of what Snape would rather have her doing. I hope it\'s not too long before the next chapter arrives :o)
