Just to be contrary, I\'m going to say that Ron has hooked up with someone on his Quidditch team . And Lavender is entertaining Fudge, who wants to be a bad bad bad boy.
Actually, I don\'t want to guess where this is going, because I\'m enjoying this serpentine story of yours :) The emotional contortions of the characters -- in particular Hermione -- where they struggle with the relationships they are actually in,, while having this fan-fic fantasy figure just beyond their fingertips... well, hey, that\'s pretty much a great analogy of fandom, isn\'t it?

Yep, thought so...Ron\'s shagging Lavender. Good one! You had me wondering about him for a few chapters, but now his wife can leave him with a clean conscience. I really enjoyed this chapter and the previous one. They were some of the best so far. And could Severus be (gasp!) falling in love with that insufferable know-it-all? YEA!!! :-D

I see that everyone is smarter than the average bear. So, what I want to know was Ron on a date with the Lavendar earlier at the Leaky Cauldron or was that rowdy crowd at the bar his quidditch team there without him? ANd where s Ron getting all the money, because he obviously isn\'t playing frist string keeper for the Cannons. is he a test subject for a comestic company? And did LAvendar set this up all in advance at the first meeting with Hermione? Just curious?

Hi there. I have been reading this fic from the very beginning and I love it. I always look forward to the next chapter the second I finish the last.
Well, I\'ve been suspicious since very early one, probably within the first few chapters that Ron is cheating on Hermione. In fact, in one argument, he said something (of which I cannot remeber) that was practically like an admission to infidelity. Since he left after that fight, I thought he was staying with a woman, not a teammate. Rosmerta knew something in this one; either she knows that what Ron told Hermione about the pub crawl was a lie or she saw him with someone during the pub crawl. I have suspected all along it\'s Lavender. And that explains why Lav is so intent on \"helping\" Hermione find another man to fulfill her needs. If all goes well, she\'ll get the guy she wants and be rid Severus in one go. She\'s almost done with her use of him and is starting to become a liability I suppose.
So I\'m guessing Severus will find out, tell Hermione at the same time he reveals himself, begs her to help him and run away with him to start a new life somewhere where she won\'t be discriminated against. The only thing that will throw the plan is Hermione\'s love and devotion to her best friend, who will be an innocent victim and the Weasley\'s will blame her despite the fact that the two people who caused all the problems and drama in the first place are their two youngest kids. Poor Hermione. Maybe she can convince Harry to what? help them so that his wife can runaway from his schoolboy arch enemy? Not likely. And can you blame him? Poor Harry. Unless of course, he\'s shagging someone on the side too which means it\'s all good, LOL.

A really enjoyable chapter. Liked Miss Anne (especially the vegetable thing), the ex-client with the voodoo mask and the possibility that Hermione\'s cursed earrings are partly responsible for her troubles. Lavender\'s mystery boyfriend is intriguing. So is the extra money in the account. And where is Ron? Keep up the good work.

Hey - I\'ve just read the other reviews and everyone else seems to know that Lavender\'s mystery boyfriend is Ron! I must have missed something as I didn\'t realise - but it makes sense, I must say. What does Lav see in him?

Oh. My. God! Do not even tell me that Lavender and Ron were going at it?! Rosmerta definitely knew something...like maybe that Ron had been there earlier that evening. I so want him to get caught, so Hermione can move on. Thanks for the lovely long chapter! Update soon.
