Chapter 38:
I found this chapter as hard to read as the rape chapter.
It's nothing against your writing, you do a beautiful job. Just... "O'Brian
Indian costumes" turn my stomach. It makes me so depressed, saying my culture used like that. The story really illustrates how people really do treat our culture.
I, myself, was raped for being aa "redskin squaw" on my 19th birthday. The police response to it was too beat me and return me to my assailant. Considering this happened in 2001... You can see that views on natives haven't changed much.
I earned my first eagle feather by coming forward with my story, and helping other native women like myself.
1/3 native women will report being raped before the age of 30... Most don't even bother to report it, because less than 1% of the reports get followed up on. The true numbers of rape are 1/10 native women will make it to 30 without being raped.
My best friend earned his first feather by being hung at the age of 11, at the school, and surviving.
If his mother hasn't happened to find him, he would be dead. The police and school dismissed the incident as a "harmless childhood prank".
Here in the story, the party is fiction. But it echos reality so clearly it's chilling.

The debate over cassoulet reminds me of the debates in my household over various Italian dishes (on one side) and traditional native American dishes on the other.

Omg I love you for this recipe alone. I once found a REALLY good flavor of this, but the store never carried it again and the other brands are far too harsh.
Write me back and I'll share some of my own intentions with you. I only request that, if you like them and market them, you ask me first :)

Great chapter! I really hope Hermione divorces Ron soon. At least then she could be a free woman and not have to wait on her unwanted husband. Keep writing and update soon!

If only this was a Viktor and Hermione story instead of an overdone Snape and Hermione story.

I just spent two whole days reading this. Gods, I wish you had finished it! I suppose it would be too much to hope for that someday you might return and post the rest, but if you ever should do so, I would be a very happy person. I can only hope to one day learn if they escape, or Ron's steroids drive him mad and he kills Hermione, or if Harry figures out that Moody isn't playing with a full deck and uses his fame for more than just the occasional Quidditch ticket. So few stories have the depth of characterization you have created, or the complexity of plot, that finding this is unfinished is a crime.
