I myself always thought the room of requirement was vastly underused. It became my mantra like when I watch horror movies that take place in woods I always shout "CLIMB A DAMN TREE" when I read harry potter I tend to shout "wtf!!!! go to the room of requirement"

I think you can get the "gist" not unnecessarily speak them all fluently. I had an Italian and Spanish roommate and I was explaining in English a vegetable. The Italian didn't understand what I was talking about so the Spanish guy said it in Spanish and then the Italian understood. It is the same with Slavic. Czech and Polish and Slovak, Serbian and even further Bulgarian and Russian. It is easier for them to learn each others languages and some words are similiar and they can understand each other. Of course that doesn't mean a Polish person speaks automatic fluent Czech and some words are false friends which can lead to misunderstanding. Like between even Lebanese and Egypitan Arabic, they can understand each other but some words mean opposite.
