I\'ve really liked this story so far, but was really disappointed with this chapter. I hoped that Hermione and Severus would explain their assumptions to each other. I hope they will soon. But mostly I couldn\'t believe he treated her like that or that even part of her felt that it was okay. I can understand her physically reacting to it, but it sounded as though she was emotionally fighting to think that it was bad. I hope I am wrong. Keep writing though. I look forward to an update.

I\'m very pleased to see that you haven\'t elected to take the \'happiness and light\' road with this story. Severus inability to communicate clearly when his emotions are involved is fairly well documented in canon, and you\'ve extrapolated it to good purpose here. Hermione\'s reacting with all the understandable emotionally-charged lack of experience we know that she has -- despite being quite bright. And your Draco... well done. Let\'s hope there\'s a little room for his eventual improvement.

This was a really heart-breaking chapter. I want so much for both of them not to feel alone. This is a really great story. I look forward to reading more. I hope you are able to continue updating with frequency.
