The use of Pansy as the demonstration piece caught me off guard I will admit. If only because all of the previous displays utilized the Sister Black only (excepting the one trial for Cho). Although having Pansy as the subject of Dark-Harry

Nice chap, but I could\'ve sworn you said something earlier about law prohibiting Harry\'s thralls from so much as defending themselves? Or is that just my imagination?

First off, I enjoyed the whole Patronus plot point. You have Dumbledore continuing to play-up the \"going dark\" deception, but as Tonks points out, he may have permanently damaged Harry\'s self confidence needed to do the charm. Of course Harry then shows that he still has the faith in himself to do it; I wonder if he took some help in Tonks\' reaction to Dumbledore\'s plan. Her obvious concern for Harry would be a lesson in caring and love for Harry. Yet in class, we see the continuation of the temporary truce between Snape and Harry. Harry is forced to act as if he is going dark and cannot call up the charm, and because Snape is supposed to be a slimy git, he has to twist the knife. I did like how Snape was terrified that he may have pushed Harry a bit too far -- that he could feel the strength of Harry\'s command of the spell, but Harry showed enough control to make the charm fail. This level of power being demonstrated by Harry, but failing to create his Patronus, would have the added feature of the Death Eaters In Training would be able to support anything Snape would report to Voldemort -- that Harry is slowly succumbing to the temptation. The last point of this subject is that being humiliated made Harry absolutely pissed. But rather than internalize it and let it eat at him from the inside, he now knows that he has a way to work it out. Since he has had his talks with his Thralls he knows that Bella would find extreme pleasure in being his whipping girl. This allows Harry to work out his frustrations and to give Bella the satisfaction she has been craving for months now.
Another point, and to me a bigger point, was the continuing debasement of Pansy. She has remained a thorn in sides of the rest of the group since she has shown up. Your explanation as to why she remains head strongly bigoted is quite interested. Both Cho and Tonks were friendly with Harry prior to becoming Thralls; they both at least accepted his friends, including Hermione. Cissa and Bella were completely rewritten because Harry needed to make them totally subservient to his needs in order to escape his predicament. With the later spell castings (including Pansy), Harry was not in a life-or-death situation, so he would not have wanted to completely alter the girls\' personalities -- it really is against is nature. Since Harry did not try to rewrite Pansy as he did the Sisters Black, she retains her inherent bigotry. She believes in the superiority of blood and one\'s station in life. Therefore she sees herself as the best person in the entire entourage -- not just among Harry\'s Thralls, because the Weasleys are blood traitors don\'t forget. As such, Pansy NEEDS to be broken down. By being placed at the bottom of the food chain, being ordered to obey any order given to her, be it by Hermione, one of Harry\'s retainers, or any other Thralls, Pansy is being taught that she is no better than anybody else. However, Pansy still hates Hermione (and the others), therefore Harry will need to be careful that Pansy does not try and work her way around an order to either hurt or simply bypass Hermione. I could see Pansy betraying all of the Thralls and/or Retainers, as long as she does not betray Harry specifically nor go counter to his specific orders.
The other major point and it is one that struck me as odd, was Harry
