The story would have been better if you\'d have killed Hermione. Ah well.

Chapter 39
The discussion with the Grangers really puts into perspective the switch of attitudes from the beginning chapters. When we first met Dave, he seemed to be overly protective of Hermione, to the point of the couple explicitly stating that neither one had put a hand on one another. Yet, in the later chapters, Dave went so far as to quiz Harry as to why he hadn\'t slept with his daughter yet. This conversation was logical and believable in covering this change in attitude toward Harry and their daughter. Harry remained in character of being shy and reserved, and absolutely terrified of offending Hermione\'s parents.
As for Cho wanting a beating prior to Harry\'s planned evening, it obviously would put a crimp in Harry\'s emotional state. And I like how you had Cho explain how using a surrogate to inflict the pain is not quite the same for the Thrall. This solves two plot points: 1 -- It forces Harry to be the one to who is causing pain to these women, and even though the girls may enjoy it, he does not. 2 -- Why Harry cannot simply delegate the act to another (be it Tonks or Hermione, both of whom seem to have no trouble with the act). Although, as I questioned before, I do wonder if Harry ever does officially enact Hermione as the Thrall\'s Mistress (using the First Wife spell), will Cho\'s enjoyment from the beating if given by Hermione be equivalent in reaction to receiving pain from her Master? Or is it simply because it is Harry, and not her \"Master\" that is inflicting the pain that gives her pleasure? Oh, and it was nice to see that Harry has finally learned that the other Thralls have been considering Hermione their unofficial Mistress for some time now. His reaction was subdued but I guess it shows that he has come to realize his feelings for Hermione are true, especially if his linked Thralls can tell.
Voldemort\'s plan -- WTF? So we now know why Nagini was near the school. But Susan is a plant? Or is this a double bluff? I mean Snape refers to Voldemort\'s Spy and to the girl that entered Harry\'s band in the same sentence, but is he talking about the same person? And even if he is, could he be misleading Voldemort into believing Susan is a true believer rather than a kidnapped victim who reluctantly took the Dark Mark? This little interchange really has me intrigued.
Of course the biggest, and unfortunately, unfinished and most teased part was the advancement of Hermione and Harry\'s physical relationship. It may be because I like the Hermione character, or because you\'ve been hinting at this step since almost the onset of the story, but I have been anticipating this next step for quite awhile. And you leave it hanging. But you really leave it with a lot of set-up that has so much potential: Harry has Dobby do the set-up. But whatever his plans are, he has completely shocked his friend / house-elf. And this is the former Malfoy house-elf. Think about what he would have seen, and try and imagine what would shock him. Of course it may simply be that Harry is finally moving forward with Hermione that has surprised the little elf, but you never know.
The other big potential shocker for the up-coming (and hopefully soon) scene was given during Harry\'s conversation with Cissa. Cissa is given orders (and a small reward -- a nice touch, there with Harry being a bit spontaneous) to keep Pansy, Bella, Cho and herself busy. She asks about Tonks. And here\'s the kicker: Harry needs her for his plan with Hermione. I know that both Harry and Hermione are close to Tonks, and that she has been closely involved with each stage of their relationship, but this really caught me off-guard. I have a few ideas how Harry can use Tonks\'s aid, but I think I want to be surprised rather than guess.
All in all, for a short installment, you managed to get quite a bit done.

You\'re very good at this.
Very good, hot, interesting part. Its interesting to envy Harry, while feeling sdorry for him. The Dursleys really did a number on him, no?
I hope Hermione and the others can help him heal.
More soon, please.

Intresting chapter. I must say that I like all of the small punishments that Harry has given his slaves, such as walking around naked. Please keep up the good work.
