Great chapter, and the door OPENED! Go figure, just when Severus lets Harry in (his office).
What I enjoy about slash? I really love these fics because they take me away to another place, where it\'s usually safe, warm and inviting. Yes, I don\'t have to go there, as the warnings all state, and that\'s what\'s so safe about it. If I do read something that disturbs me I either stop reading or open my mind and look from the outside. Not being voyeristic, just looking at a different perspective.
The high calibre of the authors, the way the stories flow around different themes and ideas and what we know of the characters acting out these \'fantasies?\' all bring it together. Slash is quite simple and refreshing. Not being homosexual, or at least never tried it, slash is something new I\'ve discovered and want to explore. I can do that here, safely, no one gets hurt. Reading slash is far different from realizing it physically, i.e. doing what you\'re writing. Just like heterosexual magazines and their \'fantastic\' stories, that is different for everyone. I really like M/M as they are much simpler than females. There is a depth of personna to play around with, but not all the extra fluff surrounding it. Concise, to the point, unfettered but not blunt or crass.
Maybe it\'s just my left-brained thinking at work here, sliding into the luxurious simplicity of it all. It appeals to me on a basic level.
