Just great, I think Severus is very IC in this fic, because i can't really imagien all his animosity for Potter going away just because they got married. Great work. *hugs*

This story is both interesting and disturbing. The mood is wonderful, though sometimes your sentence structure can be a bit confusing. I know this is just my opinion, but I feel it's important to point out that Harry's feelings toward Severus seem to be more Stockholm syndrome than real love, and if these weren't fictional characters I would be worried.

This is both one of the more interesting and most horrifying fics I have read. The rough quality of both the language Harry uses and the resignation/acceptance he displays actually manage to seem suitable to the canon character in many regards, if he had been sold off young and isolated. People often forget that Rowling describes an abusive upbringing in other ways besides physical and emotional. Harry's acceptance of the restrictions on his freedom were particularly poignant as I can see that in Harry's love of flying but also in his acceptance of living in a cupboard and being isolated from the surrounding community in his formative years. Severus' failure to "productively relate to societal mores" is also characteristic and consistent with an ex-Death Eater buried in guilt that he refuses to acknowledge.
Overall, this was a horribly depressing story that still portrayed strength of character in many ways.

Well, I liked it... You could continue that one and make a full length out of it if you wanted. Lots of story potential!
