i've read a couple of these adoption challenge fics, and this is by far the best one! not only is it the best of that group, it is also, overall, one of my favorite fics right now. the build up in chapter five was excruciatingly beautiful.

Great! I like Jonette, I like how Snape slips up and is a little too harsh sometimes, and I like all the possibilities set out. Keep writing!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANY YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!! I have been really hoping that you were not planning to just leave this story by the wayside. I love it, and it really is such a wonderful tale. This was a wonderful chapter. I think it only natural that after having spent so much time together they would eventually begin a relationship. I like how you built up to it. I love how they have been teasing each other on occasion and I think you did a great job when they finally did have sex. I'm curious to see what Jonette's reaction will be, but I get the feeling that she already sees Hermione as a mother figure so I don't think it would be too bad. I am wondering though if she will ever call Severus Uncle at least. Maybe he has been a bit formal with her being so uncomfortablth bth being a parent, but I hope she eventually calls him something other than Professor.

Please don't keep us waiting too long for another installment, or I'll have to track you down.

Ch 5 - I am SO glad to see this story updated!!! They probably still need to check out the house. Will you tell us where Jonette ended up between there and the orphanage? Will "Nana" appear again? Nice to see Severus and Hermione finally get together. Please update soon!

Your story is really adorable and I do hope you'll update soon!!! I especially like all moments when Jonette starts giggling because of one of Severus' remarks, while it's for him completely illogical what is so funny about his statements. This is such a nice clash of two worlds.... And I do agree with one of the other reviewers it might be a good thing to visit the Snape manor with her. It might be an opportunity for both of them to find peace with the past, and if he takes miss Granger with them, it might be also an opportunity for him to show her a different and more personal side of himself.
There were just two minor things confusing me: in their first encounter Snape found out Jonette had ice blue eyes, while when looking at her in her new room he thinks of her having the same dark eyes and hair as his. So what is it? I personally prefere her having black hair and eyes, but it's your story...
And the second thing: in the fist chapter Snape somewhere says (or thinks) 'Jesus' while I hardly can believe he is a christian. But apart form this small things this is really a beautifull and believable story and I am more than curious to read the further developments. Hope you dont' let us all waiting too long for that..

Oh - you\'ve continued! I\'m so glad. Jonette is adorable and this uncertain Snape is very appealing. So is Hermione - she seems like she might be the backbone of the
new family Jonette has acquired. I do hope both Jonette and Hermione get to visit Snape Manor and that Severus is always a bit in awe of Hermione\'s willingness to help.

Aww I really like the way this has started off. Snape is how one would imagine him being around a small child & I am looking forward to seeing how the plot continues to develop. If you have an update mailing list I would love to be added to it.

A warmer fuzzier Snape but not totally OOC. I lihe whe way its moving so far, just please not to fluufy.
