Great chapter -- evocative detail and sharp dialogue. I love the image of the river of people flowing around Snape-the-black-rock as well as his ability to figure out the way to use the ticket once the masses had cleared away (he is, clearly, smarter than the average Weasley).

I also love the continuing hints that this Hermione is about to launch a major campaign of some sort -- \"thinking ahead to the next phase of her plans\" is so canonically correct, so wonderfully anti-doormat. It\'s the DA all over again ... I can\'t see her ever simply saying, \"oh well, that\'s that.\"
hapshaps we\'ll find out next time why Snape is tagging along? (If his reason is a long-harbored secret desire to, er, proposition her, no wonder he feels like muggle terminology has slapped him in the face.) I\'m also eager to hear the rest of the story that we\'re not gng fng from Hermione ... whenever that works into the plot.

You crack me up (must find muggle equivalent before week is out)! Nice continuation. I liked the touch of his \"old associate\" in the underground station. Lots of nice little bits in here. He never did quite answer huestuestion about why he was with her though, did he?.........

Yay!!! \"We\'ll have dinner in your world and dessert in mine.\"

I say again, Yay!!!

On to dessert! On to dessert! Thank you so much, flyingegg. It\'s an absolutely lovely fic, and I can\'t wait to read more of it. Oh, and the premise. I love that she runs magical statistics, and those, being magical, aren\'t on the past but the future. ::smiles:: So very much in character. And I love your subtle but not quite as impervious as percieved in childhood Snape. They\'re perfect foils for each other.

Write soon, y\'hear?

Nice start! I just bet that Hermione can read Snape\'s body language. In Braille. (or so I dare to hope). More soon, please.

This is one of the most original fics I\'ve read in a long time. I really liked how Hermione is disillusioned with the Wizarding World, and that Arthur isn\'t a perfect Minister. I can\'t wait to see how it all turns out!

I\'m really enjoying the story so far. You have introduced a very interesting concept, comparing the Magical World to the Native American cultures struggling to stay afloat. It\'s very refreshing to see Arthur Weasley portrayed as something other than the benevolent MoM who is completely understanding and fair. He is flawed in your story, afraid for his position if Hermione\'s research becomes public knowledge, and stubborn - he doesn\'t want it to be so, so he will bury it and ignore what he knows is going to happen. For him, like so many others, ignoranc bli bliss. My only real crit is that Severus seems a bit out of character. Don\'t get me wrong, I enjoy your portrayal in the context of your story, but I have a hard time seeing him say some of the things you have him say. What I am getting out of this is that Severus is harboring some very deep feelings for Hermione and is crushed that she is leaving. I see them working together to make Hermione\'s researcblicblic and falling in love in the muggle world. I know you\'re going to throw us for a loop somewhere here, though. I\'ve read your latest LJ post! :o) Anyway, the story has definitely pulled me in. I will look forward to the next update and try to be smarter than 90% of the population. ;o)

UGH! I can\'t believe that Arthur demanded that Hermione change her report or leave the wizarding world. Talk about inept. Hopefully Snape will be able to help her out of the situation. Really enjoyed the beginning of this and hope to read more soon.
