Excellent update! I enjoyed the POV switch and thought it really cleared up his motivations.

Chapter 7... I really like how Hermione\'s mom got her to take Severus into consideration!!! I also like that they were quite open & honest with each other... though I am glad that Hermione didn\'t actually mention the turkey baster;-)

I am hoping that as things move along they will grow to care for each other & in time feel love for each other!!! Looking forward to chapter 8, Deb >^..^<

I have recently re-read this story in order to try and determine why I like it more than most of the other Marriage Law fics I\'ve read. I know that part of theson son ecauecause you\'ve managed to keep Hermione close to the character of the adult Hermione in my imagination. She\'s strong. She\'s stubborn. She\'s very, very smart. And she\'s nobody\'s doormat. But, I think that the major reason why I like this fic is because it handles the Marriage Law challenge with tongue firmly planted in cheek. And let\'s face it, the premise of the Marriage Law challenge is a bit far-fetched. The situa pos posited by the challenge makes me gigglo a o a response that makes me laugh out loud really hits the spot.

Oh for fuck\'s sake. I assume this nastiness is about the recent kerfluffle. I have stayed out of the whole mess because I love and respect people on both sides of the issue. I plan to continue to stay out of everything previous to this, but I can\'t think of any appropriate reason why a line-by-line, mean-spirited, and personally attacking dissection of Shiv\'s story is necessary. I sincerely doubt this review is made by any of the major players in the recent conflict. This isn\'t their style, and they all appear to want to let the matter rest. Please, may we all move past this now?

Great update, Shiv - I love the way this is growing and as any good fanfiction does, it takes little hints and facts from canon and builds upon them to create a unique take on the characters... by adding your own twist on their personalities, throwing them into an unusual situation, and watching how they react... I\'m enjoying this fpartparticularly as I can see the humor and parody that is at its core.

I do have to wonder why someone who was obviously dissatisfied with the fic, to the point where they had to do a line-by-line \"analysis,\" continued reading past the first chapter. Or first two chapters, even - to give a little leeway... particularly as the reader evidently had numerous issues with even the first two chapters. If it is in fact a response to a LJ posting, then it\'s a poorly wrought one, and in poor taste - and this is coming from someone who didn\'t even agree with your views on that post and let you know openly on your LJ ;). If it is just a coincidence, then I guess I\'m doubly confused as to why a person would go through so much trouble to line-by-line flame a fic that they obviously do not like, because I\'m sure it did take a good deal of time to do all the cutting and pasting. I had begun to do a true answer to the crit when the first review was posted, but then after the next few were posted I caught on that it would do little to no good, and my evidence and/or views would do little to make a difference (i.e. end of PoA, Poppy does want Dumbledore to leave - he refuses to do so, but she does try to insist). So - I saved my time which is better spent writing my next update chapter.

Have just now had the chance to read and review. Great chapter. I love seeing Dumbledore get his a bit, and you are keeping H and S v. in character. I\"ve always thought Hermione would deal with the Marriage Law in the most obstructionist manner possible, and you have her doing just that. Very well written, and the scene of Dumbledore being played by the two of them was funnier than hell.

You know I adore this fic. This latest chapter...oh man. Dumbledore\'s reaction was perfect. And actually, I thought Harry and Ron took the whole thing really well. Looking forward to more. :)
