Another wonderful chapter. It seems like Snape is starting to settle down and appeal to Hermione in a way that she will appreciate. Can\'t wait to see how this progresses.

Chapter 4... Ron is quite the arrogant cad, married with a harem indeed!!! Sounded like he was a bit worried when Hermione mentioned Molly!!!
Have to give Severus credit for trying!!! I think he made a step in the right direction when he gave Hermione that book!!!
I am very much looking forward to seeing what he talks with the solicitor about!!! From the sounds of things I\'m not so sure that Hermione doesn\'t want a father for her son!!! I am hoping that Hermione will see that he is serious, soften & give him a chance!!! I am also quite curious to see if & how Severus\' mother steps into the picture!!! Til chapter 5, Deb >^..^<

I\'ve been reading for a while but I can\'t say I\'m liking Hermione any better. She really has no right to be as angry at Severus as she is.

Ron - too funny. Severus afraid of his mother. Love it. I do hope Hermione takes care of those stitches. Yikes. Thanks a bunch.

Ahhhh . . . Baby Love . . . I used to sing that to my children when they were young. I love that you\'ve included it in this chapter.
I\'m enjoying this story so much! However will Snapey break through Hermione\'s ice? This should be interesting! I look forward to more.

You\'ve very effeely ely created a new villain, thus shifting the focus from Snape to Ron quite neatly. The knight in shining armour it seems is a lothario with no intentions of changing his ways, but the seeming marriage proposal; no doubt written in a post coital haze of eyeliner, just adds to the twist of the knife.
Snape\'s reaction to his newborn son is perhaps one of the best clues to how you\'ve shifted the focus. He goes quite effectively from \'that bastard\' to the doe eyed daddy icon - and in the face of the farce, you\'ve set him up as the clown.
Oh he keeps his snark and he does use the intonation to try and bully back his position of strength, but it\'s lost and I think you\'ve managed to quite neatly convey that both Hermione and Severus know this.
Hermione\'s natural reaction to Snape\'s presence is tempered by the less than stellar suturing job - and her overriding desire to see Waldo/Saccius returned to her bosom - literally - as the book implies. It\'s an interesting use of analogy (the Virgin birth, the Earth Mother, the lioness fighting for her cub, etc) to further strengthen the concept that all is not a bed of roses - for any of the characters.
The addition of the black widow - the spider who eats her mates post coitus is quirky, and just helps to add another layer to the maze, though I think some might not note the parallel. It does however further strengthen the proposition that Severus is the clown in all of this, from the dodgy ejaculation to his position in no-mans land as it stands at the moment. In fact the war as it stands is for Snape to prove himself a man and not a few random sperm who were mighty good swimmers. ;)
Of all the most interesting and inventive things in this chapter - the book, old, rare and prized is the thing Snape bestows to Hermione. I can\'t help thinking that you\'ve lulled the reader (me in this instance) into a false show of compassion. Basically I\'m waiting for the sting in the proverbial tail. I have no doubt that it\'ll be an absolute corker. :)
I do have to say that this farce is very deftly done. It could quite easily be whimsy, but it\'s not. It is however inspired, cutting and very clever, and the mark of that is in its complexity.

Now you see, THAT is just brilliant. You\'ve made me laugh (Ron suggesting a stetson instead of the pith helmet), grip the edge of my seat (oh no! Don\'t marry Ron, Hermione!), sigh with relief (Marriage proposal went into the rubbish, heehee) and then go \'awwww\' (Snape\'s horrible childhood).
Added to all that, I really empathised with Hermione with her troubles in feeding, the leakiness and pain of post-natal stitches, and I was utterly proud of your Severus for comning up with such a brilliant choice of gift.
Reing ing the urge to fangirl, I will merely say that I very much look forward to the next chapter. When you\'re ready, of course ;-)
Blessings, Kait x

Snape went and took the tablecloth off of the small table that he used for dining. He wrapped it around his waist. Now he was prepared to pretend that he was a certain young Witch.

Once again I don\'t know what to say. I love the subtle humor in both of them referring to the baby by different names. And the Snape at the end of the chapter is just a bastardly even though he\'s so much more endearing because of his love for the baby. Prat Ron was great! His harem! That\'s fantastic.
