Hm. Forgot to mention Ginny\'s \"surprisingly strong grip.\" And what frustration is mine! I had forgotten the names and was just getting excited about a pattern - Potter, Bones, Weaver, Cooke - thinking the next one might be Smith or Schumacher or something. But no, it\'s Desmond. Damn.

I really just want to thank you for writing this story and updating it so regularly. It\'s almost a shame that you\'re getting so close to the end and we\'ll no longer have daily updates to look forward to. The story is brilliantly crafted and almost reminds me of a modern Agatha Christie (my all-time favorite mystery author, so that\'s quite a comliment IMHO).
I do have to say though that I\'m very impatiently waiting to see what Severus Snape is up to.

Hey! Dumbledore isn\'t cleared for that file!! What the hell is he doing reading it???

And can you get him to stop throwing Snape\'s bound magic in his face, please? First the Occlumens bit, now this. Git.

The wine makes Nicholas\' throat close up ... did Francoise spike it with something? Or is that just a red herring?

I\'m not even going to try interpreting the dreams - so many others have done it. :/ You\'ve compared Dumbledore to a tiger, once already - but there are so many possibilities for all of the figures ... sigh.

\"Financial support of this fine institution.\" Well, the only character in Harry Potter canon who contributed oodles of money to institutions was Lucius Malfoy - and we all know what a peach of a person he is. The association (whether subconcious or overt) doesn\'t do Dumbledore a bit of good, IMHO. I think Dumbledore\'s appropriated Snape\'s inheritance as well as his magic, and is rubbing both in his face. It\'s just that Snape only knows about the one.

Boy, I\'m going to feel really stupid if I\'ve done all this nitpicking only to end up barking up the wrong tree ... :( At least you know your story\'s gripping!!

My goodness. I\'ve seen Dark Gods mentioned on the WIKTT board for ages, but haven\'t had much time to read anything lately. Well, last night I found myself with time on my hands and this fic seemed as good as any. I was disappointed when I realized that a romance between Severus and Hermione wasn\'t the focus, but your excellent plot and timing grabbed my attention regardless. I had a very hard time shutting down my computer at midnight last night when I was at chapter 18. And now... another cliffie! Where\'s Severus? Who\'s the killer? ARGH! Can\'t it be tomorrow yet? All joking aside, this is a wonderful, wonderful fic. Good job. Now I\'m off to read anything and everything else you\'ve written!

So, pivotal chapter eh? It\'s obviously pivotal for Snapey - must be the first time in a long time that he\'s felt like doing anything at all, so naturally he goes for the big one and absconds. Good on him. Glad Cuthrell has been n thn the heave-ho, although I wouldn\'t put it past him to get his revenge in some way. Don\'t let them drug Snape please!

I no longer have any idea who did it - Petunia still seems a good bet to me, but how would she get full grown paralysed men onto a table to wield the knife? Maybe she does weightlifting as a hobby.

Glorious reading - I\'m glad I\'m around for the next few days so I can get my fix on a daily basis!

Go Snape Go!! I worked on a psych floor of a hospital during nursing training, and I\'m shocked that they didn\'t have the doors set with alarms or wards! However, doesn\'t upset me too much - I wanna see what Snape does. What is drawing him out to Hermione? From the sound of things, she is walking into some kind of mortal danger and we\'ll see if perhaps he is there in time to save the day.

Until next chapter where perhaps we might find out if he finds a clothesline close by to grab some \'non hospital gown\' outfit, and perhaps something for his poor feet.

Bloody Brillant! I am literally sitting on the edge of my seat wanting to read what happens next!
You\'ve definately got the knack of writing and developing characters (well, at least to further the basic characters from JK) and to create a \"nail biter\" story!

Just wanted to say \"Thanks\" for letting us enjoy your work and I am looking forward to the conclusion of this story,
