\"Coffee so strong it would wrestle him for the spoon\"! It\'s a good thing I wasn\'t drinking coffee at that moment, or I would have had to pause to wipe off the computer screen. It\'s very entertaining to see Snape filtered through the Harry lens -- or is it vise versa? -- because it shows both the characters\' differences and their often-overlooked similarities. Snape\'s speech about the unfairness of a teen-ager being expected to save the world was particularly touching. I\'ve often wondered why canon Snape doesn\'t see that. (Maybe he wishes he were in that position?)
I\'m eager to see how Hermione acts on her new knowledge -- and what Ginny does.

I love the apt turn of phrase about how differently Harry and Snape wear the body. (A full-force Snape scowl on Harry\'s face would be something to see.) The image of Hermione reading to what she assumes is the comatose Snape is so sweet and so very -- well -- Hermione, and it\'s revealing that one of the first things the actual Snape notices is the angelic effect of the light falling on her hair.
Speaking of which, isn\'t a certain bushy-haired student good at Arithmancy? (I suppose it\'d be a bit much to expect to to be better at it than Vector already, although it wouldn\'t be the first time that a Hogswarts student could best a Hogswarts teacher. coughLOCKHARTcough.)
I concede the point that we\'ve never seen Snape in canon except through Harry\'s eyes. Sometimes the Harry filter leaves a lot to be desired.

This story just keeps getting better and better. This last chapter had me sniffling in sorrow. For all three players. Hermione, Severus and inadvertently, Harry. Simply a wonderful tale.

Chapter 13.... This story is just getting better & better!!! This chapter is so very heart wrenching!!! I am glad that Severus found Hermione reading to him!!! Letting him know how concerned she was for him was something good for him to hear!!! The conversation that followed, as well as Severus\' inner thoughts, was so very thoughtful & touching!!! I do so hope that things will right themselves soon & that Hermione will make Severus realize that some things, like caring for one another, are more important than the fear of what MAY happen!!! cha chapter 14, Deb >^..^<

I\'m so impressed with your writing! You\'ve managed to make Snape both sympathetic and his usual snarky self, all at the same time . . . I also love how you\'re not rushing romance, which is very realistic. I\'ve always thought that Hermione was very, very understanding and compassionate and you\'ve managed to bring that out admirably! Great work.
