What a wonderful story! I\'m pleasantly surprised that a challenge managed to inspire such a complex story. I loved your treatment of the cats\' society. It\'s the first time I read a story where the author has actually thought about what it means for an animagus to turn into an animal, having to fit into a community.

Sweet chapter.
But, I don\'t know why, I have that weird apprehension about the last line you wrote. Maybe the immediate future is not going to be so rosy glowing, with Voldemort around, and the NEWTs coming (just kidding here!)... Or maybe I\'m just being paranoid.

I\'m all bitter and jealous of the number of reviews you\'ve got. In fact I very nearly didn\'t leave on - you\'d hardly notice it was missing amongst all the rest.
Delightful story, bloody well written, and still sulking that it\'s so good.

I giggled at the idea of a half-tamed Snape -- he\'s so tightly controlled, though it\'s too true that he doesn\'t take well to control exerted upon him by outside forces -- but this passage took my breath away:
