Hey, what do you know -- Snape\'s instinctual desire to save Hermione turned out well for everyone. Woohoo! Way to work a passing reference many chapters agoo a o a plot point ... Miss Mintage and her nightmares come full circle, and I can just picture her slipping her hand into Snape\'s.

The battlefield scenes are too powerful to need comment, so I\'ll just say this: Ginny\'s fixation on saving Neville -- saving someone, anyone -- feels very real.

Ooh - battle scenes are fun. :) Love the tie in with the Slytherin girl (who I can\'t remember the name of) and her nightmares. More soon please.

The hardest thing for me to write is action. Far simpler it is to do melodrama, where the writing is far more lyrical than fast paced action. Therefore, I must confesst yot your action sequences of the last 2 chapters were wonderfully written.

I found the scenes realistic - there was enough gut wrenching gore and commentary on the battle from Hermione\'s pov. Susan\'s death brought home the bloodiness of war that most other writers tend to gloss over using magic. Magic death like the AK is too clean, too quiet for a war on the scale you portrayed. The addition of the Giants, Dementors etc really made it a chaotic mess that the Light side had no choice but to engage in.

Brilliant chapter! Your battle scene is amazing. I love how Hermione takes charge! You did a fabulous job of catapulting her onto equaotinoting with Snape.

I love the pacing of this chapter -- choppy, disjointed and chaotic, just as I imagine battle would really be. And the cameo of Salazar \"great Slytherin git\" -- brilliant, just bloody brilliant! And I\'m dying to know where Hermione landed when he threw her out of the room!

Miss Mintage\'s help looks to be proving invaluable; I hope this helps rid her of her nightmares.

On a private note (inside joke alert), I\'m still giggling -- in the best possible way -- about modulating the frequency. I do so love you! Uh,a faa fan, of course. Not in an I\'m-going-to-email-you-constantly-and-call-your-house-and-email-your-roommate kind of way. Oh, wait....never mind.

Chapter 37... HOLY CRAP!!! this chapter did answer some questions, but it gave way to new ones..... What did Salazar Slytherin do to Hermione & how was he able to do it? Did he fix the wards or is he going to cause more problems? Will Severus & Miss Mintage find the boxes & will this help her know that she can end her nightmares? What will become of Ginny, Neville, Harry & Ron?

I am hoping that you will be adding more soon, the suspense is threatening to turn my hair gray!!! Til chapter 38, Deb >^..^<
P.S., I really like your description of the ward room & the miniature castle & combatants!!!
