This is a lovely story! It's very original and well thought through, and I like the emotions of sadness and longing that give the characters that extra dimension. I like that you take the time to delve into the thoughts and emotions of your characters and the reasons they have for acting like they do.
I've only made it to chapter 6 so far, so there is a lot more to come!
I remember seeing this story around before btw., but I never actually read it because the words "child bride" and "returned from the dead" sort of gave me the image of something I did not want to read about. I don't know if it's just me getting these associations, though.
Anyway, I'm happy I decided to give your story a chance!

I'm re-reading The Dragon's Child Bride right now. I can't wait until the next chapter. Anyway, I thought I'd post this here. This song reminded me of Draco and Laylani, especially some of the more recent chapters.

That was beautiful! It was well worth the long wait. :) I love the way you portray Laylani's and Draco's emotions so beautifully. That chapter had me crying by the time I was done reading it. Laylani is so desperate, practically at the end of her rope, and Draco's doing all he can to keep her.
I sort of expected the ending; didn't think it could go any other way. Draco's going to be absolutely furious. I don't see how he can trust the Order after that incident. As for his fiancee, well, I hope she is able to hang in there. Gosh... I really can't wait for the next chapter!!

Of course, because DumbleDUMB decides to get involved and send the girl away from Hogwarts (one of the SAFEST PLACES ON MAGICAL EARTH), she gets kidnapped! I never did like Dumbledore, he always seemed to be just a LITTLE too good and a LITTLE too stupid in the J.K. Rowling books.
Great story anyway, and one I hope is continued.

Well, now that that's out of the way (pst, I love you... ^_^) I have to say that this was an absolutely awesome chapter. :)
It was so heart-wrenching. An absolutely beautiful goodbye. Seriousy, I cried.
And oh my god, the Death Eaters! Damn them! Why did they have to come along? Stupid Death Eaters...
And Kingsley is a Death Eater!?! Whoa! But you knew that, didn't you. ;)
Everything was absolutely fantabulous!!! ^_^
I'm hoping at some point Draco will be so desperate to stop Lani's pain that he'll want to kill Harry himself, just so she doesn't have to. Not seriously of course, but just as a joke.

Oh dear, oh dear...
This is so amazing I don't even know where to start. I know a lot of people have a thing against original characters but I actually enjoy them. It gives you a character to relate to when you can't relate to the canon characters. Unfortunately a lot of OC stories are poorly written and MarySue-ish. Your story wasn't like that at all. It was beautifully written (Absolutely awesome!) and well thought out.
Best of all the characters were in character and yet you still managed to portray them in a different light just by changing the perspective.
I love the betrothal idea most of all. Even though it's been done before you still make it completely your own by adding in all these twists. The fact that they knew each other when they were kids, Lani being kidnapped, Draco thinking her dead, the deatheaters, the prophecy. It was all just awesome!
The conflict you came up with was also awesome. I love the idea of a second prophecy. The problems it brought to Draco and Laylani actually brought me to tears. I seriously cried!
Then again I am a big cry-baby... ;)
I love how Draco thinks of himself as a knight protecting his princess. It's like he has his own reason to be a hero, to be good. He does it his own way.
Though he's a bit out of character I love how you portrayed Harry. He's been through so much I think it works though. Sometimes I wanted to smack him (I found that reaction quite funny) but then there were other times that you kind of get where he's coming from. Especially when it comes to Draco and Laylani. :)
The thing with Laylani and Snape is also interesting. That was a nice touch.
Anyway, I think that's enough for this review. It's gotten pretty long. O_O
I hope you'll update soon. I'm dying to know what happens next. ^_~

It's been so long since you last updated. I hope nothing's wrong. I really can't wait to see what happens to Draco and Laylani. I hope you get a chance to post a new chapter soon. I'm really looking forward to read whatever you come up with. ^_^
