awww your changing the pairing, thats okay, I loved the Subdued Fire I'm sure I'll love the sequel! Maybe I'll like this pairing better than DM/HG....*ponders*

Anyways keep up the awesome writting! And if you do ever get the chance to write a seperate sequel with the DM/HG pairing I'd love that too!

Thanks for this awesome fic!

I like the way that the first few chapter have gone! And don\'t let people give you a hard time about changing ship; the Hermione-Draco connection and the Hermione-Snape thing both work well, each in their different ways. Readers who made it through Hermione\'s troubles in the first story are going to be able to deal with whatever angst you shovel on them to make her change lovers in this one!

I\'m a little curious about the idea of Hermione \"studying herself\" to learn more about being a mage, but Draco\'s parents along with Voldemort knew enough about what makes a mage to create. M. Makes me think there might be a big head start to that research by figuring out what was done with Draco (and possibly Harry?).

well, first let me apologize in public for my earlieriew.iew. i didn\'t mean for it to be taken as a flame, but it was taken as a flame and now, in the light of day, i can see why. i apologized to the author through email and i apologize to the readers and to the author again and i will now make a solemn promised to never review another story. in truth i didn\'t review it; i just was angry that i was getting ready to invest time in a story-with the only ship that i read dm/hg -and find out it didn\'t stay that way. i had hoped to be persuasive and not bitchy, but i often, all too easily, tread the line-ok, ok, i way jumped past the bitchy line this time and into the next category which appears to be childishness, but i humbly beg for your forgiveness and i hope that the author can look past my ignce nce and continue her story. i promise to all of you, author and readers alike, that you will never hear from me again. i will read and enjoy in sie. e. i am truly sorry for the anger and embarrassment i have caused the author. i beg her to continue and overlook my ignorance and me. sorry, sorry, sorry!

Ha! Your author\'s note was very interesting (and hilarious)! You\'re absolutely right though - you write what you want and we get the enjoyment of reading it - or we go on our merry way. I really enjoyed your first story and the Draco/Hermione pairing, BUT I kept reading it because it was so well written and captivating, and I know this story is and will be the same. So...how about an update? :) -Kel

well, i am glad that i read this little bit of your story and none of the first one, because s pos pointless for me to spent MY time reading 40 chapters of a story with MY favorite pair hg/dm just to have you twist it in the end so that it is something else. this is unfortunate simply because what i have read of your story is, in fact, well written, but i am sorry, it\'s just not right to pull the rug out from under people like you are doing. you are right, this is your story and you can do what you want, don\don\'t get all huffy when people get angry about spending their time on a story only to have it ripped out from under them. that is almost as bad as having an author write 25 chapters and then suddenly stop writing. i also find it humorous that you wrote that you would quit writing if you got any flames. what is that about? thousands of people read this fics and not everyone is going to like them. i am suprised someone hasn\'t flamed you just because they can. anyway, i hope you don\'t take this the wrong way, it is just that i am so disappointed that you have chosen to take YOUR story this way with little thought to your readers. i really like what i read through chapter 1-5 of this story, but, like i said above, it is pointless for me to invest time and energy into this story (keep in mind that the only reason i invested time in it in the first place was because it WAS a hg/dm story. but if you feel you need to change the direction then what you need to do. good luck.

I really enjoyed this subdued fire, and I am enjoying this fic. I will beg tho thought to write another version of this sequel that turns out DM/HG. I appreciate that you want to change it in this fic, hell it\'s your fic and you write beautifully, why not give it a go... but for all us hardcore DM/HG shippers out there I hope you write a companion fic, I know it is time consuming but it will be extremely appreciated. Especially since there seems to be very few \'great\' DM/HG fics out there, and these two have been two of the best I\'ve read. I will read this one regardless and hope for the best. Thanks for sharing your talent with us ~ Hanna
