AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I abso-frickin-lutely LOVED the way this ended!!!!!! I can\'t wait to see what you have in store for us in the sequel....oh my. She\'s going to have to get pregnant, hopefully while Potter and clan are fighting the evil, and they\'ll have to find a way to save their baby. Hmmmm, and then there\'s the wedding itself. Whoo...I can sooooo picture the honeymoon. Ehem, I mean, I\'m sure they\'ll have a honeymoon. And then there\'s the little matter of Draco finding out about his \"sister\" and what they\'re forcing her to do. How is he going to take that I wr? r? Maybe he\'ll decide to help them seeing as he really looks up to Snape. And Draco always did remind me of Snape....the whole bad boy thing is such a turn on. *cough* Yep, that w be be Draco for ya. *zones out with dirty thoughts* What was I saying....oh yes, GIMME THE SEQUEL SOON PLEASE!?!?!?!?!?!?

I just finished reading \"Don\'t Lie to Me\" and \"Secretly Slytherin\". All I can say is WOW!!! I have never been a big fanfiction reader...(so much of it is truly awful) and I have never in my life read any adult fanfiction. I avoided it thinking it would be mostly someone\'s stupid, slimey fantasy and have no real story to it. These two stories have changed my mind!! First of all, the writer is obviously well versed in her Potter-lore because she is right on with the exact mood and feel of the series. But her characterization of Snape is perfect. She hasn\'t turned him into a mushy, lovesick characature. He still retains his unpleasant and condescending tone and is perfectly despicable sometimes. Yet his underlying sense of honor is there, just beneath the surfac.whi.which is what I love about his character in the books. The sex scenes are.....well.....all I can say is, WHEW! Good thing I was wearing my asbestos glasses! This story has taken me days to get through. Like some kind of drug, I needed more and more to get my daily \"fix\". Meanwhile, the laundry piled up and paperwork went unattended. Thanks for the fabulous entertainment for the past few days. I loved it! Now, I think I better go get some work done......Excellent story!!

Hi Veressna,

When I had just finished the owl-transfiguration chapter, I wrote

\"I was moved to write after this chapter because I think you\'ve entered into new and intriguing territory and I\'m impressed with how well you\'ve done it. Again, although I\'m not (so far?) a personal fan of sexual cruelty and humiliation, it seems in keeping with your Snape and consistent with your Hogwarts universe.

It\'s not so believable, to me, as a turn-on for Helena. I\'m sure there are 18 year olds who would find this stuff hot, but I would expect them to have more baggage and more intimacy issues than Helena. And THAT Helena would definitely not find Lewis attractive, or maintain the kind of girly friendships she has with Ang and the other roommate. People who enjoy deceit, I think, enjoy and practice it with everyone, and her friendships jus just too wholesome and straightforward. I don\'t find the girl who enjoys these power games with Snape -- the more interesting girl -- to be the same one who can\'t bring herself to push her potions partner off. I\'d love for you to develop her into a more complex person who has more hidden at all times, not just with her new lover.\"

Now that I\'ve finished SS, I think you did develop her as I\'d hoped. It became clearer to me that the deceitful part of her was relatively small -- more of a talent than a personality style -- and I understood where it came from (not fitting in to your family, needing to please a depressed mom). She is, in fact, a \"people pleaser,\" and so her fondness for her roommates is more congruent than I thought at first.

And Veresssss-na...you did soften him up, didn\'t you? He seems awfully lovey dovey at the end there. Does everyone come around to that at last?

Veressna --

I\'m a newcomer both to fanfiction and this intriguing subset, snaporn -- in fact, I\'ve not read any except the snape stuff, which I found through Firefancies. Although I do prefer the \"tamed\" Snape, I\'ve really admired your determination to stick with the -- what did you say? -- mean, nasty, sarcastic unreformed Snape, and yes, he is sexy as hell.

I was moved to write after this chapter because I think you\'ve entered into new and intriguing territory and I\'m impressed with how well yve dve done it. I\'d love for you to develop her into a more complex person who has more hidden at all times, not just with her new lover.

But I\'m especially pleased with how you are managing Snape\'s growing attachment to her.

I\'ve found myself saying Oh, of course! A guy like this, with such a fear of intimacy and disclosure, would of course be drawn to a woman who can give as good as she gets. She\'s a worthy opponent and likes the game, and the fact that it is a game protects him from the demands of closeness (fear of suffocation, intrusion, exposure). That she picks up and plays the powertrip games between them without being hurt by his rejecting moves makes him feel safe -- dare I even say because he\'s so full of aggression and he sees that he won\'t hurt her with it -- so now he\'s the one moving into the more nurturing position, as in the scene where he coaches her in transfiguration. Maybe it\'s safe to be more nurturing, to draw her closer to him, because she\'s shown she won\'t come too close. We all strike this balance all the time, in our individual ways, between closeness and separateness.

In sum, she respects and enjoys the arms-length, defensive, sexual power tripping that he needs. It doesn\'t hurt her, so he needn\'t feel guilty and concerned. In fact, it\'s her huge turn-on. But how interesting that it\'s drawing him closer to her. Maybe when our fears are assuaged, we find our desire for closeness. I\'ve only read so far, so I\'m very intrigued to see whether the pendulum will swing the other way.

And did I say that you have indeed and most wonderfully preserved the cynical, conniving, sarcastic and nasty bastard that you like so well? Congrats, he\'s beautiful.

And yes, he\'s really hot.

Well, Im unsure as to how old your wh req requesting reviews is, but fuck it, I may as well.
I am enjoying this story immensely and no, I do not believe its too fluffy, though I would advise against adding any more \"fluff\", it has just the right amount. (I realise its already finished of course) I like the fact that they are together entirely of their own free will, and mutual \"like\" of one another. Helena is a delightful character and the wit that plays between them is both wicked and extremely funny. As a reader and a writer myself I\'d like to say well done!
