I /love/ this story so far. But at this juncture I feel it my duity as a rabid fangirl, to point out that there are a couple things you could do here that would ruin it for me.
1, Have Severus sweep Al off her feet and go live happily ever after. Yes, he should get her away from therr atr at least give her the power to do it herself, but happily ever after seems to run counter to the story so far. At least to me 2, 2, Have Al have Severus\' child. Again, it seems to me that it would just run counter to the story so far.
3, Have Severus forget about her entirely. Since even he wo\'t \'t be that heartless, and he does seem to be well-infatuated with her.
I\'m only speaking my personal opinions, and I hope that you don\'t take this as a flame, because in re-reading it, it does seem to be a bit demanding.

Oh...This is good. I was wondering how he was going to be able to get back to her. Time alone will be very encouraging I suspect. I hope that somehow Severus will be able to help her mother, that is just such a sad thing to see and find out about your lady love...that her mother is deathly ill.
And...I love Clarette...she sounds vaguely familiar.
