This was just wonderful. The black king is great; I don\'t mind his scene-stealing at all! I know I\'m going to feel really stupid for asking this, but--what *is* the double entendre in the \"I see no difference\" line? I\'ve thought and thought about it, but I\'m coming up blank. Anyway, thanks for a great story. I\'ll be sure to check out your new one, too.

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!
Extraordinarily *powerful* - not in a dramatic sense, but in the emotional sense.
Really, this story is *amazingly* good, and the light relief provided by the black king is definitely excellent.

I\'m not sure whether to praise or curse you -- after I read your stories, I feel like all I could ever create would be a cheap echo of what you\'ve already written.
No matter how frequently I read this story, like your others, I continue to be moved, Just as with \"Soul Searching\" and \"The Gift Horse.\" Still, I DO re-read and certain lines from each of these stories come back to me at the oddest times. With \"Last Minute Crisis,\" I hear: \"...while his sharp mind rechecked its work for the seventh time,\" \"They had at least an hour, and surely there was time enough in that span for him to give, and find, a little pleasure,\" \"...you were the first man I ever really noticed as a man,\" \"...her name was a plea, a prayer, an offering,\" and \"All right. I suppose we are on a bit of a schedule- more\'s the pity.\"
I do hope the holidays treated you well and, in full admission of my selfish nature, that you bring our Potions Master back to his Gryffindor soon -- safe and sound.
Happy New Year!
Wishing you peace.

That was an achingly beautiful chapter! So much emotion was included in the midst of the lemons. Perfect detail, imagery, and characterization. Beautiful!

Wow! Long awaited and well worth it, but please don\'t make me wait so long for the next chapter! I had to re-read the first 2 chapters since it had been so long and I just about laughed my head off at the chess pieces once again--I hope they will mak app appearance, if no other place than the epilogue whenever this reaches its conclusion. Thanks as usual for a delightful interlude--hope we have another soon!

Such a beautiful, sensitive, heart melting not to mention other places melting scenerio. Bows to such a talented quill.

Everything I said at ff.net (below) qualifies with a notable amendment: not only do I not \"mind\" explicit, you write it as well as any I\'ve read!
Here\'s what I said over at ff.net: \"Amazing how something so erotic can be written without being at all explicit (not that I mind explicit).
I love that there is so much joy in this -- solving Snape\'s crisis and giving him hope for a deeper relationship. You\'ve written the characters beautifully and their words and actions fit their personalities perfectly. And your descriptions always include something so surprisingly inventive (Moses, the tunnel under the Lake) that reading them is almost as satisfying as reading a love scene.
Hope your holidays are peaceful and filled with joy -- and if Currier & Ives do show up, I hope they bring the merriment of the spirits of Christmas Past and Christmas Present!\"

Woo-hoo!
I\'d almost given up hope of an update, were it not that I knew how reliable you are.
This story is amazing.
That chapter was *superb*.
Absolutely bloody brilliant, Quillusion, just as I have come to expect from you. :)
