aprilgray,
Do you know the end of Portnoy\'s Complaint? The last line, where the analyst says, \"Now, ve may perhaps to begin?\" Were you thinking of that?
I had such fun reading this. You took on a lot, to make it both funny and touching, and your ideas of Snape as a cat and Snape in THERAPY!!! were fab. And your lemons added a piquancy to the mix. Brava!

I\'m laughing out loud as we finish decorating the christmas tree. btw I think the song is properly titled You Ain\'t Nothin But a Hound Dog. My husband the american music expert says that technically it\'s just called Hound Dog. I\'m feeling a bit vertiginous swooping between the droll albus-althea story and poor passionate vulnerable Snape. Is this intentional? Your amused fan,

This is bloody brilliant (I\'ve just read chap 14). I didn\'t know that one could write real erotica -- the kind that actually turns you on -- that was also hilarious. I really think that if someone could publish \"Barry Trotter,\" the HP parody, you could publish this. It\'s not really fan fiction. But where? There aren\'t too many venues for really accomplished smut.
Your rueful Snape puts me in mind of two of my favorite heroes --thazthazar of The Beastly Beatitudes of Balthazar B (JP Donleavy) and Lucky Jim, the euponomous hero of Kingsley Amis\' book. You might especially look at that latter.
I hope it makes you happy, AG, to know that someone in Virginia is laughing out loud three days before Ctmastmas because of you.

Thank you for writing this story and sharing it. I enjoyed every chapter and always looked forward to the next. Your characterization of Snherehere is so unique: sad, funny, suicidal, nestalgic, child-like, cat-like, naive, worldy and vulnerable...well, I could go on and on. His discovery of love, both romantically with Hermione and the reunion with his mother, was odd and yet more realistic than most of the gushy romance stories out there. For Snape to crave some of his past behaviors and yet realize the value in keeping them at bay in order to keep his relationship with Hermione was highly satisfying to read.
This is one of those stories I wish would keep going, yet the way you ended it is just rig You You have quite the sense of humor and the epilogue with Mrs. Norris gave me a fit of giggles.

Rave reviews. Happy pixi, liked story. Ended well, perhaps would have let sevie end therapy myself... but who knows maybe he really did still need it eh?
